Profile: Eastern Old Growth Forests
A mix from remnant old growth forests from northern New York’s border with Canada, outside Buffalo as well as Rochester; outside of Cleveland OH and Toledo; and coastal/island MA. The oldest trees are typically 300-400 years old, and these very diverse forest gems contain tulip-poplars, hemlocks, sugar maple, white cedar, black cherry, beech, bur oaks, white oaks, chinquapin oaks, ash, shagbark hickory and others.
